The ‘ls’ command can show you the files in the current directory

ls -l gives information regarding file permissions and its date of creation

In the filesystem, every file has a specific in inode number, unique to itself. You can lookup an in ode’s date of creation, the date it was last modified

ls -a shows all files(even hidden). Filenames beginning with a period are special. They are hidden files, not visible directly in the GUI, and not shown by a simple ls command.

The stat command shows all information regarding an inode.
